Gypsy wagon builder Andrew Campbell of Plain took this photo in April of a couple of the tiny trailers while camping at Seep Lakes, near Warden, from the seat of a canoe.

He says about the photo:

“The canoe is an Old Town Canoe originally part of Seattle’s Seward Park rental fleet. It was bought by a couple from Lake Wenatchee and used by them for many years.

“It was then donated to be restored by the Plain Royal Rangers outpost 404.

“I had gotten together for the weekend with fellow gypsy wagon builder Greg Kossow from Port Townsend and Bill Aho, ranger commander and fishing hunting buddy — who brought the canoe — to do a little fishing and lots of sleeping.”
